Did you ever see that TV programme 10 Years Younger? The striking thing about it was that of all the changes made to people’s appearance, their hair ‘do’ seemed to make the biggest difference…making people look and feel their best.
The opportunity for a trip to the hospice salon is something we’re delighted to offer our patients as part of their visit to Day Therapies.
Now we’re looking for a few more stylists to volunteer one Tuesday morning per month so more people are able to benefit from the feel good factor inherent in a really good pamper.
It’s an extremely rewarding volunteer role and, if you or someone you know has the skills we need, we’d love to hear from you. Please call Lynne/April in Voluntary Services to find out more, tel: 01785 254645 ext. 210.
Please share this with any hairdressers (active or retired) you know. Thank you all!

Calendars at the ready… would you like to join us for a tremendously fun Sunday afternoon auction at our Norton Bridge shop, ST15 0NS, on 11th November?
We are delighted to have local auctioneer David Brettell of Brettells Auctioneers and Valuers with us once again as he’s brilliantly experienced, entertaining and famous for his appearances on Dickinson’s Real Deal and Cash in the Attic.
Our Shop Manager, Claire Foster, said:
“David Brettell’s vast knowledge, cheerful demeanour and sense of humour brought him to our TV screens and he creates a fabulous atmosphere in the room. Our last auction made over £3,000 for the hospice and we’re really looking forward to a great afternoon on the 11th when hopefully lots of people can come along as it’s the weekend!”
We’ll be auctioning off upwards of 100 lots from 3pm – with all sorts of vintage, unusual items going under the hammer –so please do join us to make sure that these treasures find their new home and help us to keep on caring.

Thank you to everyone who so very kindly raised money for us by running the recent Stafford 10K.
Between, Emma and Joanna who together raised £600 and Sontu who raised £243, you have donated funds which will pay for 5 day therapy sessions.
Local people with life-limiting conditions can really benefit from attending these – it gives them the chance to dine with us, meet others in a similar position and access any of our services that would help them. It also gives their families time to spare while knowing their loved one is safe with us.
Thank you for helping us to provide the care that local people need.
