A night walk to Snowdon’s summit for sunrise

Two ladies pictured in green fields in front of a sunriseSee the sunrise in the east over Snowdonia from the summit of Snowdon itself.

You’ll meet up in the Llanberis mountain railway car park at a designated time for a full safety briefing.

Each group will have at least 2 guides (1 front, 1 back)* to lead you up the track in what will be relative darkness, to begin with (less the head torches). As you progress, the twilight will begin to surface, and it will get light well before the sun is due to break the horizon.

You will reach the summit area in good time for you to relax and enjoy the sunrise.

After all of your hard work, you will return to Llanberis for a hearty full Welsh breakfast (you will have earned it)!

Costs

The cost of the trip is £90 per person (£30 deposit + £60 balance). There are two funding options.

Self funding

  • You pay for the trip direct to Travel and Trek Limited (£30 deposit on booking + £60 balance 4 weeks prior to departure).
  • Fundraise as much as they can for Katharine House.
  • Donations come directly to us, usually through an online donation website such as JustGiving.

Sponsored

  • Pay a £30 deposit direct to Travel and Trek Limited.
  • Commit to raising a minimum of £200, usually through an online donation website such as JustGiving.
  • Reach your £200 fundraising target  4 weeks prior to departure.
  • From that £200, Katharine House pays Travel and Trek Limited the remaining £60 trip fee and put the rest of the money to good use—providing hospice care and support to the people of Mid Staffordshire.

Date: 18 September 2022

Location: Nottingham Airfield

Place available: 10

Book your skydive

Fancy free falling through the clouds? Always wanted to try a parachute jump?

Join #TeamKHH and take a 10,000ft leap of faith to raise funds for patients and families in need of hospice care support.

Book your skydive

Take a tandem skydive with a qualified instructor

A tandem skydive is the easiest and most popular of all skydives. You’ll need just 30 minutes of training before hand, and then jump strapped to your instructor!

A BPA (British Parachute Association) qualified tandem instructor will do all of the hard work for you. All you need to is enjoy flying through the clouds from over 10,000 feet at up to 120 mph! A truly unforgettable experience.

Raising funds to support your hospice

We have 10 places available for supporters of Katharine House Hospice willing to take the plunge on 18 September 2022.

You’ll raise a minimum £395 of which £140 comes to the hospice (the rest covers the cost of your skydive).  Raise even more and every penny of the extra money you raise will go towards supporting the people of Mid-Staffordshire who are in need of hospice care and support.

Alternative dates

Want to jump but can’t make the date? No problem. You can still jump in support of Katharine House. To discuss alternative arrangements, contact our Fundraising Department.
