Fully supported

This Kilimanjaro Challenge is exclusive to those wishing to fundraise for us.

With a high summit success rate, it will use the Lemosho route. Close to 20,000 feet high, ‘Kili’ is a genuinely tough challenge but extremely rewarding.

Read Ryan McQueen’s heartfelt story of his successful 2023 climb raising funds for the Hospice, in memory of his beloved sister Amy.

The challenge is an eight-day and seven-night trek, with four nights spent in the acclimatisation zone.

You’ll approach ‘Kili’ from the west side, ascending through the rainforest and high bushland before emerging onto the vast Shira Plateau. This route is considered the prettiest route on the mountain.

Along this southern circuit of the mountain, you will encounter the unmistakable Lava Tower and the infamous Barranco Wall. The experienced team from our friends at Travel and Trek will take care of you and get you ready for that tough final ascent to the summit through the night.

Sunday 29 June
See booking page for options

Where?

Snowdon

See the sunrise in the east over Snowdonia from the summit of Snowdon itself.

You’ll meet up in the Llanberis mountain railway car park at a designated time for a full safety briefing.

Each group will have a qualified mountain leader guide(s) to lead you up the track in what will be relative darkness to begin with (less the head torches).

As you progress, the twilight will begin to surface, and it will get light well before the sun is due to break the horizon.

You will reach the summit area in good time for you to relax and enjoy the sunrise.

After all of your hard work, you will return to Llanberis for an optional group hearty breakfast (client expense but you will have earned it!).

Leisurely paced artic adventure

Introducing the Arctic Wilderness Expedition, tailor-made for beginners. No prior cross-country skiing or winter camping experience is needed, making this adventure exceptionally rare with its small group size (four–six participants).

Embark on a remarkable five-day arctic wilderness ski expedition, venturing off the beaten path deep into east Lapland, approximately 200 km inside the Arctic Circle. Experience the thrill of wild camping, spending nights in cozy heated teepee tents. Gather firewood from the pristine forest to create open fires, essential for heating food and boiling water. This expedition is perfectly suited for novices, as there’s no pressure to reach fixed campsites or cover specific distances.

In true self-sufficiency fashion, each member of the group will pull a sled (pulk) loaded with approximately 30 kg of supplies and equipment throughout the expedition, ensuring self-reliance. Please note that there are no Husky support dogs on this journey. Snowmobile support is available in an emergency. As the tracks often lead through deep snow, expect a leisurely pace more akin to a shuffle than a specific skiing technique. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended to fully enjoy this adventure.
