At the heart of the local community, the Katharine House Hospice charity shop in Rugeley offers a welcoming space to shop, donate, and support an important local cause. Operated by Katharine House Hospice, the store helps raise vital funds that allow us to deliver specialist palliative care to people across the area.

Every visit, every purchase, and every donation helps us continue supporting patients with incurable illnesses and their families.

You’ll find a massive selection of fashion and accessories, homewares, electrical items, furniture and much more, all available at amazing prices.

Every time you donate or shop with us, you are helping more families to get the specialist care and support that they need. By recycling or buying pre-loved items you are also helping the environment and reducing your carbon footprint.

And if you sign up for Gift Aid we can claim an extra 25% from the net sales value of items donated, meaning even more money can go to fund our specialist care.

Donations

The Rugeley shop thrives thanks to the generosity of the local community. By donating your pre-loved items, you’re directly helping to fund free, specialist care for patients and support for their families.

With your help, our shops raise over £1 million a year towards our care.

Furniture Collection Service

Donating larger items to our Rugeley charity shop couldn’t be easier thanks to our free furniture collection service. If you have items such as sofas, tables, wardrobes, beds, or other sizeable furniture, our team can arrange a convenient home collection at a time that works for you.

All items are assessed before collection to make sure they meet our quality and safety requirements. Once collected, your furniture is sold in our shops to raise much-needed funds that help Katharine House Hospice continue delivering free care and support to patients and their families.

Smaller donations, including clothing, books, and homewares, can be dropped off directly in-store during opening hours and are always very welcome.

Volunteer at Our Rugeley Shop

Volunteers are essential to the running of our Rugeley charity shop, helping us create a friendly and well-organised space for shoppers and donors. Whether you enjoy assisting customers on the shop floor, sorting and preparing donations, or helping keep displays looking their best, there are roles to suit a range of interests and availability.

Volunteering is a rewarding way to meet new people, develop new skills, and support the work of Katharine House Hospice in the local community. Current roles include stockroom assistants, merchandising assistants, cashiers, and more. If you’d like to get involved, please pop into the shop for a chat with the manager or give us a call, your time could make a real difference.
