If you’re searching for a welcoming charity shop in Newport with plenty to explore, our Katharine House Hospice store is a great place to drop in, donate, and discover pre-loved treasures. Well stocked and community-focused, the shop plays an important role in helping us raise the funds needed to provide specialist hospice care across the region.
Every visit, every purchase, and every donation helps us continue supporting patients with incurable illnesses and their families.
With fresh items arriving throughout the week, there’s always something new to browse, from clothing and books to homewares and unique one-off finds. Our friendly Newport team works hard to keep the shop bright, organised, and enjoyable to explore, making it easy to shop with purpose and support local hospice care at the same time.

Donations
The Hednesford shop thrives thanks to the generosity of the local community. By donating your pre-loved items, you’re directly helping to fund free, specialist care for patients and support for their families.
With your help, our shops raise over £1 million a year towards our care.

Furniture Collection Service
If you have larger items you’d like to donate to our Newport charity shop, our free furniture collection service makes it simple and hassle-free. Whether it’s a sofa, wardrobe, dining set, or another bulky piece, our team can collect it directly from your home at a time that suits you.
When we arrive, we’ll check that the items meet our quality and safety standards before taking them away. Every piece of furniture we collect is sold to help fund the essential care provided by Katharine House Hospice.
Smaller donations are always appreciated too—feel free to bring clothing, books, homewares, and other items into any of our shops during opening hours.

Current roles include stockroom assistants, merchandising assistants, cashiers, and more. Volunteering is a great way to build confidence, learn new skills, and make meaningful connections within your community.
