Light Up A Life 2023

Our annual appeal invites families to remember loved ones as well as helping to raise funds for specialist care.

It has been part of our charity for more than 20 years, with a service held every December where we dedicate the Christmas lights on our 25-foot tree in memory of friends and loved ones.

Supporters who dedicated a light will receive a card bearing the name of their loved one and are invited to a special Light up a Life service on Sunday, 10 December at 5 pm, when the lights will be switched on and they can view their loved one’s name in the Book of Lights.

Our charity has been running the appeal for more than 20 years as a way for the community to remember their loved ones and help fund the vital work we do.

How to remember your loved ones

Donations from this appeal help us continue providing our vital care services to local people and their families who may be spending their last Christmas together, enabling them to live life as fully as possible and make the most of the time they have.

Those that dedicate a light will receive a commemorative card, their loved one’s name will be entered into our Book of Lights and they will be invited to the special Light up a Life service taking place on Sunday, 10 December 2023 at 5 pm at the hospice.

You can also sponsor a light on our virtual Light up a Life Tree where you make your dedication online, select your own light and add your loved one’s name, a message and an image.

You can find out more about the appeal and how to dedicate a light at Light Up a Life 2023.
