Use your skills to help support hospice care in Stafford and the surrounding areas.
We’re looking for volunteers to join us as independent Retail Board NEDs (non-executive directors). If you care about hospice support and want to help shape how our charity shops run, this could be a great opportunity for you.

About us
We provide free care and support to people with incurable illnesses in Stafford and the surrounding areas. Last year, we supported almost 2,000 patients and their families.
Each year, our shops and online store raise over £1 million to help fund the free, specialist care we provide. We couldn’t do it without our brilliant team of staff and volunteers who make it all happen across 14 shops and our eBay store.

What the role involves
As a Retail Board NED, you’ll help guide how our shops are run – making sure they’re successful, well-managed, and continue to support our work.
You’ll:
- Attend monthly meetings (online or in person)
- Share your ideas and experience
- Help us plan for the future
We estimate the time commitment is around 4-5 hours a month.

Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to have been on a board before. We’re looking for people who:
- Have experience in retail, business, property, or online selling
- Are good at understanding numbers and performance
- Care about hospice support and want to make a difference
We welcome people from all backgrounds and communities, especially those who’ve had personal experience of hospice care.
Location
You don’t need to live in Stafford, but being nearby can help you get more involved with our shops and teams.
