Victoria gives back with a very special auction

Stafford mum Victoria Emery is auctioning around 50 of her favourite dresses to support our hospice, as a thank you for the care she receives while living with a rare incurable illness.
Giving back
Victoria, said: “The hospice continues to look after me so well. Donating my dresses feels like a lovely way to give something back and help other people who need the same care and support.”
Our charity has cared for Victoria throughout her illness, even arranging a scuba diving experience at a local pool after hearing about her passion for diving.
The fashion show and auction takes place at Stafford Rangers Football Club on Sunday, 2 August at 4 pm. Friends and family will model everything from casual day dresses to sparkling evening gowns. Bidding starts at £1.
A family effort
The fundraiser has become a real family effort. Victoria’s brother, Ken, will take on the role of auctioneer, while her son will provide the music for the catwalk.
The day before the event, Ken and his wife, Christel, will be joined by other family members to walk Cheshire’s 55km Sandstone Trail, raising even more money for our charity.
Christel said: “Over the past months, we’ve seen first-hand the difference Katharine House Hospice makes, not only for Victoria, but also for her husband, son and wider family. Their support, compassion and expertise have helped our family navigate some incredibly difficult times.”
Community support
Eboni Sargeant, Events Manager at Stafford Rangers Football Club, said: “We’re delighted to support Victoria with such a special event.
“Her generosity is inspiring, and we hope the community will come along, enjoy the afternoon and help raise as much as possible for Katharine House Hospice.”

Entry is free, with all proceeds going to fund more care and support for families living with incurable illness.
