We offer up to 12 counselling sessions, and these are usually fortnightly appointments.
Sessions can take place at our Therapy & Wellbeing Centre, by phone or video call, or at another suitable location where appropriate.
You’ll be supported by qualified counsellors from our team and trusted counselling partners who provide emotional support in a safe and confidential environment.
How counselling can help
- Cope with change and uncertainty
- Talk through difficult feelings
- Manage stress, anxiety or low mood
- Explore grief and loss
- Adjust to caring responsibilities
Accessing counselling
If you're an adult living with an incurable illness, you can access our counselling, even if you're not receiving other support from us.
To find out more or arrange support, our Family Support Team are available Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm.
Advocacy
Sometimes information about care and treatment can feel difficult to understand.
If you need support to make decisions, understand your rights or have your voice heard, you can ask for help from an independent advocate.
Advocacy is free and available to anyone who needs support.
Plan your care
An advance care plan helps you think about and record what matters most to you. It helps others understand your wishes if you’re unable to speak for yourself in the future.
