Mr Richard Hughes

I was born in Wrexham, North Wales but moved a number of times with my father’s job to eventually settle in Worcester form the age of 11.

After my schooling, medical school was in Nottingham followed by training in the East Midlands, West Midlands SpR Rotation and Vancouver, Canada on  fellowship.

I have been a  ENT surgeon at MidStaffs and now UHNM since 2004. I have always worked across the two sites providing head and Neck Cancer care.

I have been married to Susan since 2000 and have four ever growing boys aged 19, 17, 15 and 11. I also have lovely old lady of a cocker spaniel called Maisy.

My interests outside are many and varied, Tai Chi, Kung Fu, cycling, hill walking , football and cricket. Most weekends I am out watching one of our local teams, often with my dog in tow!
