Memorial service

A supportive service for families to remember loved ones who have died. Held in January, March, May, July, September and November at our Therapy and Wellbeing Centre.

Our memorial services provides an opportunity for bereaved families and others to gather and remember their departed loved ones in a supportive and structured setting.

You’re welcome to take part in as much or as little as feels right for you.

The service is led by our hospice chaplain, Reverend David Clark, and takes the form of a simple act of worship including:

  • readings, hymns, prayers and moments of silence
  • an opportunity for your loved one to be remembered by name
  • a memorial candle to take home
  • tea, coffee and refreshments afterwards
  • members of our Family Support Team available to offer support and answer questions.

Who can attend

Families whose loved one was supported by us in the previous 12 to 16 weeks will receive an invitation from our Patient Pathway Team.

If you’ve received an invitation, please call 01785 270832 to confirm your attendance.
