Celebrate – with a cuppa and cake!

Whether you’re a star baker or just love a good brew, we’re thrilled you’re thinking of joining us with your very own Care for a Cuppa event. You can make your event as elaborate or simple as you like. Will you host a cosy get-together with friends, a bake-off with colleagues, or simply pop a donation tin by the teapot?

Every slice of cake sold and kettle boiled helps raise vital funds to keep our services free for those who need them. Every cuppa counts.

Make a difference with a cuppa

Raise £10 or £1,000 – every penny makes a difference.
  • £ 25

    could pay for a tai chi session

    to help a patient improve both their physical and mental wellbeing.

  • £ 50

    could pay for one of our monthly Bereavement Café sessions

    supporting those who have lost a loved one through a palliative diagnosis.

  • £ 100

    could pay for a session on our Wellbeing Programme

    to help a patient start to manage fatigue, breathlessness and anxiety.

  • £ 600

    could pay for a patient to attend a full six week Wellbeing Programme

    to help manage fatigue, breathlessness and anxiety, focus on relaxation and wellbeing, and more.

Pick your venue

At home

Invite your guests along and ask them to make a donation. They could also bring along some goodies or even craft items to sell. If you fancy more than just a natter, try hosting a bingo game, a quiz, or a guess the weight of the cake competition to raise more funds. You could even have a garden party.

At work

Everyone loves a tea break at work, or perhaps your office has some budding bakers? You could hold a cake sale in the canteen or even a Bake-Off competition whilst you serve your tea!

Remember to check with your employer if they have a match-funding scheme. If they do, every pound you raise could be doubled.

With your group

You could organise a full blown Cuppa, or keep it simple and just ask for donations during a refreshment break.
