Living with an incurable illness, or caring for someone who is, can bring many emotions – sadness, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed.

Our counselling service offers a safe, confidential space to talk things through with someone who understands.

Who can access our counselling service

We can offer counselling to anyone living with an incurable illness, even if they’re not receiving other care from us. We also support family and carers too at any stage.

How our counselling service can help

Counselling can help you:

  • Talk through the emotional impact of diagnosis and treatment
  • Cope with changes in family life and caring responsibilities
  • Find ways to manage stress, anxiety, or low mood
  • Prepare for what’s ahead and navigate feelings of loss
  • Feel supported in a safe, confidential space
A counsellor sits in an armchair, attentively listening to another seated person. The room has soft lighting and a calm, comfortable setting.

  • Sessions: one-off or regular support to suit your needs
  • Who: we have a team of qualified counsellors and pastoral volunteers
  • Location: our Therapy & Wellbeing Centre, over the phone or we can come to you
