Golfers – polish your putters and dust off your drivers – our annual Golf Day returns on Thursday, 3 July at the beautiful Brocton Hall Golf Club.

This much-loved event brings together local businesses, community groups and supporters for a fantastic day of golf, networking, and giving back.

The Shropshire Ladies, who’ve taken part since our very first Golf Day almost 20 years ago, return year after year.

It’s a charity close to our hearts.” they say.

“We’ve lost neighbours who spent their last days at the hospice, it’s such an important cause. We love playing here at Brocton, it’s a beautiful course.”

Lyndsey, our Community and Events Fundraiser, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming teams to this year’s Golf Day.

“It’s a fantastic day out, and every swing helps ensure we can continue delivering the compassionate care that so many people in our community rely on.

“Huge thanks to the staff at Brocton Hall Golf Club for hosting us again, and to our sponsors, RAE Build and Pickering & Butters solicitors.”

Set on the edge of Cannock Chase, Brocton Hall’s 18-hole course is one of the finest parkland golf venues in the Midlands, making it a perfect setting for a day on the green.

On the day

Players will enjoy a full round of golf in teams of four, delicious food and a chance to connect with like-minded individuals.

Our Golf Day tees off with team registration, bacon rolls (vegetarian option available) and hot drinks, followed by a 9 am tee off. Players will also have the chance to enter our popular Twos competition (£10) and raffle (£5 per strip).

Raffle prize donations are very welcome – please email events@khhospice.org.uk or call 01785 270808.

Money raised from the day will help us continue to provide specialist care and support for free to patients and their families across Stafford and surrounding areas.

Midway through the course, players can make a pit stop at the Halfway House – a small hut offering drinks and snacks, kindly sponsored by Pickering and Butters on the day – before heading out to tackle the back nine.

Trophies and special prizes are up for grabs for first and second place, nearest the pin and longest drive.

Sponsor a hole

Supporters can sponsor a hole for £100, with their company logo displayed on the golf course and mentioned on our social media. It’s a great way to show your support and gain visibility with the local community.

A special thanks to our sponsors

We’re incredibly grateful to our sponsors, Rae Build and Picking and Butters, for their continued support.

Jan Boulter, Managing Partner from Pickering & Butters said: “We are delighted once again to support this great event.

This year marks 30 years of Pickering & Butters supporting the hospice, in what is their 35th anniversary year.

“The services and support that the hospice offers is invaluable to so many families in and around our local area, and we are proud to have supported the hospice in all that it does.”

Paul Edwards, Director of RAE Build adds: “We’re proud to continue supporting Katharine House Hospice and the amazing work they do in our community.

“We hope to see you on the green!”
