Almost 500 people gathered on Saturday 10th June night to run, dance and walk their way through the Stafford streets at Katharine House Hospice’s brand new 2017 event, the Neon Night Fun Run.

Once all of the sponsorship has been collected in, it is hoped that the event will break through the target of £25000 so that patients receiving care through the night will be funded throughout the month of June.

Katharine House Hospice Events Fundraiser, Lisa Carson said “It was a truly humbling event.  It was incredible to see so many local people dressed up in their fantastic neon outfits lighting up the night in support of our loved ones.  We were hoping to raise £25,000, however, if we receive all sponsor money that has been pledged we will smash that target!.  I’d like to say a huge thank you to our army of wonderful volunteers who never cease to amaze me.”

The event was sponsored generously by Castle Estates, Holly Addison Corporate Fundraiser for the hospice said “We have a really strong relationship with Castle Estates and we cannot thank them enough for supporting our events over the years. Their extremely generous support ensures that as much money as possible goes directly on patient care!”

Thank you so much to our staff, volunteers, suppliers and all who took part in helping make the event such a huge success!
