HSBC Bank has delighted Katharine House Hospice by adopting the charity as its chosen charity of the year. Throughout 2013 staff at the bank’s 12 local branches have worked together to raise an incredible £20,000 to help fund vital free local care.
HSBC employees have organised various events such as a Murder Mystery evening, tandem bike ride, parachute jump and lots of other in branch fundraising initiatives. The staggering £20,000 raised included £10,000 in donated clothing which has been sold in the Hospice’s 15 shops around the region.
This incredible year of fundraising included a sponsored day of care at the Hospice on 13th September to mark the first anniversary of an employee’s father who passed away at the Hospice.
Katharine House Hospice Corporate Fundraiser, Debbie Rushbrooke said;
