Well done and thank you to our first ever group of Sahara Trekkers who flew off to the Sahara Dessert this morning to embark on a gruelling 7 day trek through scorching hot sands with complete isolation from the outside world.  So far they have raised a phenomenal £25,000 for the hospice.

Our intrepid trekkers include Steve Roulstone, Amanda Tripp, Claire Lythgoe (Staff Nurse), Penny Graysmith (Hospice Chaplain), Francis Gaffney (Hospice Volunteer), Katy Penn, Helen Collins, Jennifer Thomas, Jerry Stokes and Emily and Julie Brown (Hospice Volunteers).

They are due to arrive back in the UK on 16th November, and we are already looking forward to hearing all about their adventures and having a peek at their photos!

If you would like to join one of our 2015 or 2016 treks, would like the opportunity to talk to the trekkers yourself and hear their experiences first hand, then join us at our 2014 trekkers get-together at 10.30am on Saturday 29th November at the Katharine House Hospice Business Centre on the Staffordshire Technology Park.

Places are limited and by appointment only, so please book via email on or phone 01785 270808 for further information.
