Retail General Manager

"I started my working life as a submariner in the Royal Navy before moving into the retail sector. I have since been involved in nearly all aspects of retail. I have worked in mainstream retail for 14 years in food, discount and dry cleaning retail services before joining the charity retail sector in 2003. Since then I have worked for 2 national and 3 local hospice charities. During that time I have opening 150+ charity shops, both permanent and temporary.

I joined Katharine House in February 2017 as the Retail General Manager which I am very excited about. I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead and trying to secure valuable funds to support the outstanding work of the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers who support Katharine House Hospice.

I have been with my wife Annmarie for over 16 years and I have 3 grown up children, 2 cats and a dog.

I love to socialise with family and friends and I love to grow things in my greenhouse. I am also a lifelong Newcastle United fan (which has helped me deal with disappointment in life!)."
