The “Big” Charity Shop on Marsh Street in Hanley is part of our 16 retail outlets for Katharine House Hospice, which provides free specialist palliative care through a range of services to the people of Mid-Staffordshire.

We are looking for a highly motivated and extremely well organised individual to manage our store in Hanley, ensuring it’s success and moving the store forward – Could this be you?

You will need to have passion and commercial flair, working hard to stay ahead of the competition and be able to demonstrate your ability to inspire, motivate and lead a large team of staff and volunteers to deliver an exceptional customer experience. The shops are open 7 days a week and you will need to be flexible in your working pattern. We’ll also need you to recruit and effectively lead a team of volunteers. Your influence and drive will ensure your store exceeds sales targets.

You will be a dynamic, business focused individual with an artistic flair, who is keen to drive the sales of this local charity. You will have new ideas, excellent people skills and believe in delivering a fabulous customer service experience. You will also need strong commercial skills to achieve budgeted sales and profitability. You will ideally have experience of managing a team of staff in a retail background. This is a physically demanding position in a busy retail environment with some lifting of furniture/donated goods required.
