Providing free specialist palliative care through a range of services to the people of Mid Staffordshire since 1989, Katharine House Hospice exists to offer the best care so that people in our community, affected by progressive illnesses, can live life to the full. Primarily a voluntary organisation, we are supported by donations from the local community and the services of over 600 volunteers and 260 staff.

This is an exciting time to join our dedicated care team as we strive to support more patients and families across Mid-Staffordshire.

An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant within our In Patient Unit. You will support the Registered Nurse to deliver high quality care and to participate in giving the highest possible standard of palliative nursing care to patients and their families. We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent standards of patient care and good communication skills to join us and be part of our team.

An NVQ 2 in Care and experience in a healthcare setting is essential

Katharine House Hospice provides ongoing support with professional development, clinical supervision and access to staff counselling services. Uniform is provided along with free parking. We are also able to provide access to the NHS pension scheme if you are currently an existing member. Please note, an enhanced DBS clearance will be required for this role.
