Hours:       22.5 hours per week, with flexibility to meet the needs of the organisation, including some evenings and weekends.

Salary:       Up to £18,468 per annum, actual (£30,780 per annum, full time equivalent)

We are looking for a Counsellor to provide professional counselling support to clients of the Psychological Support Team.  You will support the Family Support Team Leader with triage and assessment of referrals, carry a small caseload and develop effective working relationships within the Hospice multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent counselling/therapeutic care to people who are affected by: life limiting conditions and illnesses; receiving palliative care; and end of life care.

You will be a qualified and registered Counsellor and ideally you will have experience working in bereavement and loss and will have demonstrable skills in counselling and skills in providing staff supervision and support are desirable. You will be a confident team player with excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

A Diploma in Counselling and enhanced DBS Clearance are essential.
