A Katharine House Tribute Fund is a unique and lasting way to remember someone special

A Tribute Fund is named after the person who has died and becomes a special way to pay lasting tribute to someone you love.

When you, your family or friends donate to, or raise money for your loved one, your donations will be added to your special Fund and will help us to continue providing our vital free care for local people who have life limiting and life threatening conditions and their families.

Heather remembers her Dad and helps the Hospice

"The fund has given us a focus and something positive to think about.  Family and friends have supported us as we try to raise what we can in Dad's name.

I would really like others to set up their own Tribute Funds and do something for Katharine House Hospice.  They have made such a difference to me and my family and they need all the help they can get".

When you have a Tribute Fund we will:

  • Send you a pack welcoming you to our Tribute Fund family of supporters
  • Send you an annual update on how your fund is doing
  • Send you regular updates on the Hospice's news
  • Invite you to join us at our annual Big Cuppa event held at the Hospice
  • Invite you to our AGM
  • Keep in touch with you as much or as little as you wish

Gift Aid it!

You really can help us raise vital funds for our patients without it costing you a single penny!

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a government scheme that promotes charitable giving.  It enables charities like Katharine House Hospice to reclaim basic rate tax on every pound donated by UK taxpayers. So we are able to reclaim 25p in every £1 you donate. Furthermore, for every £10 you raise through sponsorship we could get an extra £2.50.

For example:  Your £100 donation including Gift Aid equates to £125, please tick the box

How does Gift Aid work?

You can increase your donation at NO COST to you. If you are a UK taxpayer we can claim Gift Aid on your donations if you pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax that is at least equal to the amount of tax that we and all other charities and Community Charity Sports Clubs will reclaim on your donation for that tax year.

We can even claim Gift Aid retrospectively, so if you are a supporter of Katharine House Hospice and have donated in the past, but have not yet completed a Gift Aid declaration, we can claim back the tax on all donations made in the last 4 years. It will also cover all future eligible donations, unless you tell us otherwise.

If all our tax-paying supporters made a Gift Aid declaration this would enable us to raise thousands of pounds for the Hospice - just from the donations they have already given.

How can I benefit?

Gift Aid could even make you better off! If you pay the higher rate of income tax, currently 40%, then you can claim tax relief for yourself

What do I need to do?

It only takes a few moments of your time. It couldn’t be simpler!
