Each summer the hospice organises a house to house collection in Stafford and the surrounding areas. Volunteer collectors deliver collection envelopes to designated streets and return a few days later to collect them.
In 2014 the house to house collection raised almost £18,000 for the hospice! Well done to all the collectors who gave up their time to collect and for the supporters who made the donations. Thank you!
In 2015 our supporters will be collecting in a street near you . Are you able to help? Can you volunteer some of your time?
If you are able to help please contact the House to House Co-ordinator, Di Rudge, on 01785 270808 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gift Aid it!
You really can help us raise vital funds for our patients without it costing you a single penny!
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a government scheme that promotes charitable giving. It enables charities like Katharine House Hospice to reclaim basic rate tax on every pound donated by UK taxpayers. So we are able to reclaim 25p in every £1 you donate. Furthermore, for every £10 you raise through sponsorship we could get an extra £2.50.
For example: Your £100 donation including Gift Aid equates to £125, please tick the box
How does Gift Aid work?
You can increase your donation at NO COST to you. If you are a UK taxpayer we can claim Gift Aid on your donations if you pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax that is at least equal to the amount of tax that we and all other charities and Community Charity Sports Clubs will reclaim on your donation for that tax year.
We can even claim Gift Aid retrospectively, so if you are a supporter of Katharine House Hospice and have donated in the past, but have not yet completed a Gift Aid declaration, we can claim back the tax on all donations made in the last 4 years. It will also cover all future eligible donations, unless you tell us otherwise.
If all our tax-paying supporters made a Gift Aid declaration this would enable us to raise thousands of pounds for the Hospice - just from the donations they have already given.
How can I benefit?
Gift Aid could even make you better off! If you pay the higher rate of income tax, currently 40%, then you can claim tax relief for yourself
What do I need to do?
It only takes a few moments of your time. It couldn’t be simpler!
