Ride London-Surrey 100

2013 saw the first ever Ride London-Surrey 100 which Alex Shipton and Stu Evans completed raising over £1,500 between them for the hospice.

In 2015 Andy Bentley, Paul Bradbury, Mark Jackson, Richard Jones, Phil Richardson and Elaine Price completed the 100 mile route. Between them the cyclists raised a fantastic £6,000 for the hospice.  Their money will be used to pay for a whole 6 weeks of Wellbeing Day's at the hospice.  They all had an absolutely amazing time and could not speak highly enough of the whole experience.  There were even bacon sandwiches along the way!!

Balti Bike Club - Stafford Castle to Barmouth Cycle
Pete Brown and his Balti Bike Club cycled from Stafford Castle to Barmouth to raise vital funds for our hospice.  Pete said " Well, I got there. I might have been under prepared, the weather turned nasty with about 15 miles to go, we got soaked, my chain broke, I was totally shattered but I had a brilliant time. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Would do it again tomorrow." Thank you so much!

Perkins Peloton - Stafford Cycling Festival Challenge

Steve Chesworth and the Perkins Pelotin friends and family took part in the Stafford Cycling Festival 35/70 mile challenge and raised a whopping £800 for the hospice.  If you would like to raise money for our hospice by taking part in this fantastic local festival, do get in touch.

Mel Cottrill and Jane: Euro City Cycle

Avid cyclist and Staff Nurse Mel Cotterill recently took on another fantastic fundraising challenge and cycled 3 European Cities, from London to Amsterdam and then onto Brussells.

Mel and her cycling partner Jane, who also cycled London to Paris in 2014, cycled 276 miles over 4 days and battled through torrential weather conditions.

Mel said "This cycle proved to be more of a mental challenge rather than a physical one. We experienced headwinds, crosswinds and torrential rain. Trying to stay warm and dry was a big challenge, but despite the conditions we had some great banter and companionship from our fellow riders who were all experiencing the same struggles".

So far Mel has raised over £1,000 for the hospice which is absolutely fantastic.

Congratulations Mel & Jane and thank you so much for your support!
