Christmas is a time for family, please can you help ours?
The team here at Katharine House bring peace, comfort and dignity to every patient that we see, every day of the year. Christmas is a special time and each and every one of us at the hospice do everything we can to make it as normal as possible for our patients and their families. If patients can't go home for Christmas, we will bring Christmas to the hospice.
This moving video tells how a young patient wanted to have her Christmas in June... so we helped her family to make that happen.
Christmas at the Hospice is always special
At this time of year the hospice sparkles with tinsel and Christmas trees, the ward echoes to the sound of carols and laughter. Stockings are hung at the end of each patient's bed on Christmas Eve.
Christmas is a special time for family, but when a loved one is nearing the end of their life, and a family is facing what may be their last Christmas together it becomes even more important.
It will cost us £16.55 for us to care for one patient for one hour this Christmas, please can you help and make a donation.
