Who is Well Being Day for?
The service is open to individuals suffering from fatigue, anxiety or breathlessness related to a physical illness. For example Cancers, Respiratory Disorders, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis or Heart Failure.
It is an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation, and share experiences and advice in an informal environment that offers support, understanding and confidentiality.
What is Well Being Day?
- It is a programme to enable individuals to self manage their illness at home following a 6 week personalised programme.
- The aim is to keep individuals well and reduce the need for hospital admissions/GP appointments.
- It helps individuals adjust to their illness and live as well as possible.
- Lunch will be provided (12:15-1pm)

- Initial and on-going assessments with Advanced Nurse Practitioner
- Medical clinic
- Anxiety management
- Breathlessness management

- Social work clinic
- Talking group
- Simple massage
- Lymphoedema treatments

How is the Well Being Day accessed?
You can be referred by any health or social care professional (Nurse, Consultant, GP, Physiotherapist etc.) or self refer and an initial assessment will be offered.

Lunch and all services on Well Being Day are provided free of charge
Individual appointments, if required, can be made with:
- Social worker
- Occupational therapist
- Complimentary Therapist
