Katharine House Hospice supports both patients and those close to them.

The hospice recognises that it is not just patients who need care but also the people who are caring for them. The Carers Group provides emotional and practical support for these people.

The group offers carers the opportunity to relax, unwind, make new friends and talk to someone who appreciates the challenges of being a carer.

The Carers Group is held every other Tuesday afternoon between 2pm-4pm in the Day Therapy Lounge at the hospice. We aim to offer a programme of practical tips to make caring easier, enable you to receive support for yourself and join in activities that may provide respite from your caring role. If you work during the day or would rather attend an evening group please click here.

We may be able to provide transport if you have difficulty coming along to the group and we may also be able to provide a Health Care Assistant to sit with the person you care for whilst you attend the group.
