Katharine House Hospice recycling warehouse has been open since December 2007 and we are delighted to report that the project is already making money for the hospice. The concept is simple – you donate, we recycle! The premises are conveniently located on St Albans road in Stafford just up from the tip and we would like you to call in to see us first to see if there is anything that we could make use of before your waste goes to landfill. At the warehouse we have the ability to recycle a variety of household waste that then makes money for the hospice and it goes off to find a new life! We can accept all sorts of metals including brass, aluminium and copper. Other items such as mobile phones and compact discs can be made use of. But, we aren’t just recycling in the traditional sense – we are also happy to take items that you no longer need such as electrical goods and even furniture! Since we opened we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our supporters and have re-sold for re-use countless items of unwanted furniture. We also have a fascinating selection of bric a brac and curios within our stock which changes daily. If you would like to support Katharine House Hospice and do your bit to save the planet please do come down to the warehouse with your unwanted goods and/ or maybe have a browse round – it truly is an Aladdin’s Cave!
