Flourishing Fivers

Would your school like to support Katharine House Hospice’s Flourishing Fivers? Flourishing Fivers links raising funds for the Hospice with learning and skills enrichment for local students.

The idea is very simple – we give your participating pupils £5 each challenging them through innovation and enterprise to triple it or more, all in aid of a good cause.

The scheme is a perfect opportunity for school children to learn about business, economics and entrepreneurialism. The children will develop key skills such as communication, team working and innovation in a real-life setting. In addition they will have fun whilst supporting the vital work of Katharine House Hospice.

So far we have had Walton High School, Weston Road High School, Blessed William Howard Catholic High School, Alleyne’s High School (Stone) and Stafford Sports College take part. These have ranged from Y8 pupils to Sixth Form students.

You choose your own starting date and how long the initiative will run. It could be as little as six weeks or it could run throughout the academic year. We also offer assemblies to both launch and close Flourishing Fivers.

If you have any questions or would like to join other local schools in this fundraising activity contact Amy Johnson on 01785 270808 or alternatively email ajohnson@khhospice.org.uk.
