Card For Christmas
As much as we all love to receive Christmas greetings from our friends and colleagues, the cards we receive more often than not end up getting thrown away after the festivities are over. And as we all become more aware of the impact of waste on the environment it seems that this appeal helps two causes in one. It helps the environment and to raise money for our patients. Taking part is easy. You simply need to decide who will act as the co-ordinator; (the person to gather donations together, record their name on the poster and display it in a prominent place). We will provide the co-ordinator with all that they need to collect the donations and full instructions of ways to return your collection. After all, a 'Card is just for Christmas' but the benefits from supporting people in your community will continue long after the seasonal celebrations have come to an end! This campaign is becoming more and more popular each year. We invite local companies to have a Card Is Just For Christmas poster displayed in the work-place for employees to write their Christmas messages on and make a donation to the Hospice instead of buying individual Christmas cards for each other. |
