Thanks to your help we can now support patients at home

Since September we have been sending out teams to help patients spend their last few days in familiar surroundings with their friends and families.

We have already made over 1,700 home visits to patients, and the response from their loved ones has been overwhelming. Clearly there is a real demand for this new service, and we’ve only been able to begin to help those who need it thanks to people like you.

I recently received a letter from Karen, the wife of one of our patients telling me how it helped her family. The letter shows what a difference you could make.

“I feel I have to write at this time to express my sincere gratitude for this service, which allowed Steve to stay at home in familiar surroundings.  Most importantly he was surrounded by his family and our 2 children.  Those tender last moments will be unforgettable and I’m sure would not have happened had Steve been anywhere else.  Please keep the at home service going.  I can’t tell you how precious it turned out to be for us.”
